Day 93: Wall panels

Tuesday 8 June 2010

This evening was spent ripping down 9mm far eastern hardwood ply for the lower sections of the walls and for the nearside wheel arch box. Given its square ends the offside seating area wall was straight forward to cut and fit. At the same time as gluing the panel on to the wall I glued the second profile in place.

The nearside panel took longer since it needed cutouts for a section of rib adjacent to the sliding door, the wheel arch and a back box for a twin mains socket. Before fitting the panel I ran in some 1.5mm2 3-core flex down the wall and out through the back box.

As per usual, and as can be seen in the photographs, all the panels needed wedging to hold them in place for 24 hours whilst the FC-40 cures.
