After writing the blog last night I went on to apply formica to the edges of the worktop. Then this moring I trimmed it back flush before marking out, cutting and adhering the top surface. After my previous mishap with the formica this was all done with the utmost care since there was absolutly no spare material.
It was then back to the cabinet itself and the final fitting in the van. I was planning to just glue it in place but because of a slight twist in the partition I decided on screwing it in place. The work top was loose fitted, as I want to remove it tomorrow so that I have easy access to fit the gas manifold and piping.
